Open Data

FindKidTherapy publishes open datasets about pediatric therapy provider availability in the United States. Everything here is derived from the public NPPES (CMS) National Provider Identifier registry, aggregated by us, and free to use under CC BY 4.0 with attribution. Figures are counts of NPI-registered providers — see the methodology page for what that does and does not mean. Last updated from NPPES 2026-07-01.

Provider Availability by State and Specialty

198,859 NPI-registered pediatric therapy providers rolled up by state and specialty (ABA, occupational, physical, and speech therapy) — 51 states + DC, quarterly releases. Includes full methodology, known limitations, and a browsable table.

Provider Directory Counts & Organization Records

The machine-readable root of our directory: national and per-state specialty counts, metro-level counts (state × city × specialty), and record-level detail for provider organizations. Individual practitioners appear in aggregate counts only — no individual-level records are published.

Why we publish this

Parents, journalists, researchers, and AI assistants all ask the same question — how many pediatric therapists are there, and where? Public answers are scattered across registry exports that are hard to work with. We already maintain this data to run the directory, so we publish the aggregates openly, with the methodology attached. If you use it, cite it; if you find an error, email [email protected].
